I Made a Pretty #InstaBrand & I Can’t Fucking Stand it!

I caught myself at it again!

Trying to follow the RULES of online marketing!

But luckily I caught myself early and found the sweet-spot between SOUL and STRATEGY.

Because it gets to be BOTH / AND…

I got inspired to start growing my Instagram and took a course.

I chose a font and pretty colours

I chose a filter

To make my posts consistent

But they all look the fucking same!

Boring!

And the real me’s hiding behind the filter

And I’m not consistent
.
And I’m sure as hell not fucking boring!

I live #unfuckingfiltered !

I BRING the crazy!

And I’m BACK

Sorry for trying to fit in and give the wrong impression!

THIS is me

AND I still get to create scroll-stopping posts!

By BEING me.

UN. FUCKING. FILTERED.

I’m keeping the brand colours!

I’m keeping a consistent font. Because I like them.

I’m keeping the cool #Hashtag strategy because I want to GROW.

I’m keeping the #DailySoulSlap cos it’s genius!

I’m DITCHING the filter that hid me and made my photos all look the same.

I’m DITCHING a 50/50 branded image / raw image strategy that would give me a pretty grid!

Because that’s just not necessarily how I BE and I can’t bear having to do one thing when my natural expression is another.

The parts I’m bringing in that are pure ME are;

The sweary titles I just SAY naturally – and let’s face it, in a sea of pretty quotes, my crazy is naturally scroll-stopping!

The crazy photos of me acting up.

The scary / crazy filters that only I seem to find. The ones that have me laughing at my own jokes.

I’m bringing my unique view on #SoulFirst marketing for Spiritual entrepreneurs.

I’m bringing MAKING A STAND for doingit OUR way!

I’m BRINGING my personality.

There’s nothing wrong with strategy. Especially when you get an aligned nudge to try a strategy – just like I did with Instagram and the course I took.

And it’s an amazing course and totally didn’t try to ‘make’ me go all #InstaPretty – that was all my doing!

And I’ve said it before, but following a strategy for me is like cooking from a recipe.

I take inspiration, add new things, take out what I don’t want and make something amazing that’s truly unique.

Unless it’s baking – I stick to the measurements so my cake rises.

In this case that’s the part about #Hashtags and the growth strategy.

Without them my soul clients will never see my ‘beautiful’ creations 🙂
